There is no rushing becoming. Give yourself permission to heal, to rest, to learn, and to be held as you find your way into this new chapter.
Postpartum support
The arrival of a baby changes everything. While there is so much attention placed on preparing for birth and caring for a newborn, the person who has just given birth deserves care, too.
Postpartum is a season of healing, learning, adjusting, and becoming. It can be beautiful and tender, exhausting and messy, joyful and overwhelming—all at the same time. You shouldn't have to move through it alone.
As your postpartum doula, I’m here to offer practical, emotional, and nurturing support as you find your new rhythm. My goal is to create a little more space for you to rest, recover, nourish yourself, and simply be cared for while you care for your baby.
What Postpartum Support Can Look Like
Every family needs something different during this season. Our time together is shaped around what would feel most supportive for you and your household.
Support may include:
Newborn care and soothing
Infant feeding support and resources
Rest and shower support
Light household tasks
Meal preparation and nourishing food
Support with older children
Errands and practical household help
Emotional support and a listening ear
Overnight newborn support
Helping you settle into new routines
Gentle support as you recover from birth
Sometimes support means accomplishing a long list of things. Sometimes it simply means someone holding the baby while you take a shower or sit down for a warm meal.
Knowledge & Guidance
Postpartum can come with approximately one million tiny questions: Is this normal? Why is my baby doing that? How do I soothe them? When should I be concerned? Am I doing this right?
As a postpartum doula, I bring knowledge of newborn care, postpartum recovery, feeding, soothing, sleep, and the many little transitions that happen during those early weeks. Think of me as a walking baby manual—with a little more warmth and a lot more reassurance.
I’m here to share information, demonstrate techniques, offer evidence-informed resources, and help you feel more confident as you learn your baby. I won’t tell you there is one “right” way to parent—instead, I’ll help you explore your options and find what works for your family.
And when something falls outside my scope, I’ll help you recognize when it’s time to reach out to your healthcare provider or another qualified professional.
Nourishment & Recovery
Your body has just done something extraordinary, and postpartum recovery deserves tenderness and nourishment.
When helpful, I can prepare simple, nourishing meals and snacks, help you stay hydrated, and create a little more ease around caring for yourself. We can talk about ways to make your home feel supportive of your recovery and the rhythms of your new family.
My approach to postpartum care is rooted in warmth, nourishment, and the belief that caring for the caregiver is an essential part of caring for the whole family.
Newborn Support
Those early days with a newborn can come with a steep learning curve. I’m here to offer another set of hands and a calm presence as you get to know your baby.
Support may include newborn soothing, diapering, settling, and helping you feel more comfortable with your new routines. I can also offer evidence-informed resources and help you connect with appropriate professionals when questions or concerns fall outside my scope.
You never have to feel like you should already know everything. You’re learning your baby, and your baby is learning you.
Caring for You
Postpartum support isn't just about the baby.
Sometimes you need someone to listen. Sometimes you need to cry. Sometimes you need a shower, a meal, a quiet cup of tea, or an hour of uninterrupted sleep.
I offer a grounded, judgment-free presence where you can talk openly about how you’re feeling and what you’re experiencing. I’ll meet you where you are without expecting you to have it all together.
When additional mental health or medical support is needed, I can help connect you with appropriate resources and professionals.
Supporting the Whole Family
A new baby changes the rhythm of an entire household. Partners, siblings, and other family members are adjusting, too.
Postpartum support can include helping older children with simple activities, offering your partner a chance to rest, or helping your household find a rhythm that feels a little more manageable.
The goal isn't perfection. It's creating enough support around your family that everyone has room to adjust and find their footing.
Overnight Support
Overnight support can provide a little breathing room during those long, tender nights of early parenthood.
Depending on your needs, overnight support may include newborn care, soothing, diapering, settling, and helping with nighttime routines while you get some much-needed rest.
The goal is to help you begin the next day with a little more energy and a little less depletion.
A Soft Place to Land
There is no single way to experience postpartum. Your recovery, your baby, your family, and your needs will all be uniquely yours.
My role is not to tell you how you should be doing things. It is to come alongside you with practical support, compassionate care, and a steady presence while you find your own way.
You are learning how to care for your baby—but you are also becoming someone new. You deserve care during that becoming, too.
